LIMITED PRINT | Chan's Roast Chestnut Cart

Every autumn, Mrs. Chan busts out her mobile cart fitted with a giant gas-powered wok, hand-roasting chestnuts and sweet potatoes at the Mong Kok Flower Market. Year after year, the now septuagenarian Mrs. Chan has been carrying on this beloved winter local tradition, a tradition that is at risk of vanishing within this generation as itinerant hawker licenses are no longer transferable or issued by the government.

「黑沙糖炒栗子、糖心煨蕃薯、鹽焗鵪鶉蛋、生炒花生，都是香港人熟悉的寒冬街頭美食。踏入七旬的陳太，在旺角花墟這角落營營役役幾十載，堅持保留本土小販風味。可惜隨着政府停止發牌、牌照不得繼承或轉讓，街頭炒栗子檔終會淪為昔日的集體回憶。」
